The mixed doubles also got underway, with favorites Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin easing to a straight-set victory, while in the women's doubles, China’s Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning were pushed all the way by the impressive Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand of India.
